Full Strength Fort Worth Revitalization Strategy

As one of the fastest-growing cities in the country, Fort Worth must be able to compete at full strength on an international stage for businesses, resources, and top talent.

However, Fort Worth can't operate at its full potential while parts of the community remain on the sidelines. Several of the city's neigborhoods have been negatively impacted by years of historic disinvestment and economic disparity, creating opportunities of unrealized potential throughout the city. Addressing these critical issues is essential to Fort Worth's long-term success because all of our city's residents should have the opportunity to participate in, and benefit from, Fort Worth's growing economic success.

The ultimate goal of Full-Strength Fort Worth's holistic approach is to create equitable economic vitality and resiliency, while empowering the community and preserving each area's quality of place.

Transform the Building | Transform the City

In 1924, the cornerstone was laid for Ku Klux Klan Klavern No 101’s Auditorium on Main Street in Fort Worth. The building has changed ownership over the years and will now be transformed from a place of hate to a place that offers different programs and activities with an emphasis on educational components that feature the history of the building and race relations in the region, and include the story of Mr. Fred Rouse. These programs aim to help us to interpret North Texas history, stimulate dialogue, share opportunities for community involvement and positive action, and promote justice and human rights.

Transform 1012, a Texas-based, non-profit coalition of local arts, grassroots, and service organizations and groups, was founded by eight local community groups bringing together leaders in the arts, social justice programming, and building design to catalyze transformational civic engagement and community partnerships. Transform 1012 is a movement of reparative justice and memorial activism.

The organization represents groups of people in Fort Worth who were targeted by the Ku Klux Klan in the 1920’s, specifically Black, Catholic, Hispanic, Immigrant, Jewish, and LGBTQQ2SPIAA+ populations.

Together, we will transform a monument to hate into a beacon of truth-telling, reconciliation, and liberation for the nation.
