KEYNOTE SPEECH:
Why Medicine Keeps Failing Women—and What Needs to Change
For decades, health research has treated the male body as the default and the female body as a deviation to be controlled, silenced, or fixed. The result? Women are under-diagnosed, overmedicated, and told their symptoms are “normal” when they are anything but.
Keynote Speaker, Dr. Sarah E. Hill's talk unpacks how sex-blind research created a healthcare system that routinely fails women—and why many well-intentioned “solutions” have actually made things worse. Most importantly, it offers a roadmap for how women can advocate for themselves in medical settings that were never designed with their bodies in mind, reclaiming trust in their biology and power in their care.
