We are a group of influential women who have the desire to effect positive change for women and girls with the passion, energy, and commitment to advocate for women and our community.
As a member, you are part of the shared vision of women leaders building a better Tarrant County. By attending our monthly programs and learning about the needs and resources in Tarrant County, you are better equipped to make an impact in our community.

Hello and Welcome!


It is truly an honor to serve as your 2026 President of the Women’s Policy Forum. Our most significant strength lies in our members—their knowledge, connections, and commitment to one another and our shared mission. Thank you for being an essential part of this vibrant network.


If you haven’t joined yet, I can say without hesitation that becoming a member of this organization has been one of the most rewarding decisions I’ve made. The relationships I’ve formed with some of the most inspiring and influential women in our community have been both meaningful and empowering.


The Women’s Policy Forum is composed of dedicated women passionate about creating positive change for women and girls in Tarrant County. We bring energy, purpose, and advocacy to the forefront as we work to strengthen our community.


As a member, you contribute to a powerful vision—women leaders shaping a better future for Tarrant County. By participating in our monthly programs, you gain valuable insight into the challenges and resources in our area, helping you become an even stronger force for impact.

    Wandaliz Turner

    Director, Community Relations



    The Jane Nelson Institute for Women’s Leadership at Texas Woman’s University is dedicated to empowering women through education, leadership training, and resources for successful careers in business and public service.

    It was established at Texas Woman’s University (TWU) in 2018. Its mission is to prepare women for leadership roles in various fields, including business, government, and entrepreneurship. The institute aims to provide women with the necessary skills, education, and resources to excel in their careers and contribute to society effectively.

    Wandaliz Turner serves as the Director of Community Relations with the Jane Nelson Institute for Women’s Leadership. She holds a bachelor's degree in government and a master's degree in political science with a graduate certificate in history, all from Texas Woman’s University. 

    Wandaliz is an Army Veteran and former Texas Law Enforcement Officer; she has also served in workforce development and employer relations, county government, and the non-profit sector in North Texas. Wandaliz lives in Denton, TX.
